In this paper, we provide a framework for analyzing the security of biometric authentication schemes. We formalize two security properties, unforgeability and indistinguishability, and propose generic constructions. We also analyze existing instantiations based on function-hiding inner product functional encryption, demonstrating conditions for achieving security within our model.

In this paper, we provide an improved side-channel attack on the pre-image computation of Falcon. Our attack targets the implementation that only protects the floating-point multiplication. We show that protecting floating-point multiplication alone is insufficient to defend Falcon against side-channel attacks.

In this paper, we provide the first masking scheme for floating-point number multiplication and addition to defend against recent side-channel attacks on Falcon’s pre-image vector computation.
